Traditional Chinese Acupuncture

Traditional acupuncture is the practice of inserting fine needles into specific points on the body (acupuncture points) to treat a variety of different conditions. Points are chosen based on traditional Chinese medical diagnoses.

Orthopaedic Acupuncture

Orthopaedic acupuncture utilizes modern medical knowledge as well as traditional Chinese knowledge. Orthopaedic acupuncture incorporates the use of motor points and trigger points in combination with traditional acupuncture points. Other therapeutic modalities, such as cupping therapy and PNF stretching, can be incorporated into the treatment protocols to increase the efficacy of the treatment.
